The harvest is coming!
A few days ago, I ran into a pastor I recognized at a Target. I said, “Hello Pastor.” He was somewhat shocked and smiled. I introduced myself and we shook hands. I told him that he preached on the topic “Never Give Up” at my church earlier this year. I thanked him and told him that all kinds of thoughts were going on in my head, at the time, because I was discouraged.
To fill you in, I was told that something was going to happen at the top of the year and it didn’t. But I have to believe that if I got it, the timing would not have been right. Now, I look at it as a blessing. At the time, I felt angry and betrayed. We ask for God’s protection and we believe that He won’t give us more than we can bear so why don’t we trust that He is protecting us even when it means a, “No” or “Not right now?”
Here’s what I learned in the process:
1. When it’s big, it takes time – God wants us to dream big and pray big! If it lines up with His Will it will happen. He put the desires in you. The delivery is not the problem with God. Sometimes we’re not ready for the blessing. It’s gonna happen but not when you’re still baking. Be patient. It’s His timing that’s more important.
2. If you’re doing your part, God will do His – You can’t just pray and wait for it to fall in your lap. That would be nice but come on! Do your part. Fix up the resume, apply for the job, apply for the speaking engagement, take the class..you get it? Position yourself for your victory. Keep learning, reading, studying, and praying. Distractions will come to try and derail you but don’t let them.
3. Keep moving forward – Don’t ever stop. Trouble will come, so crawl if you have to, but don’t ever stop. Trouble isn’t going to be there forever. Ignore the naysayers and the voices of doubt in your head. If God said it, no one else’s opinion matters. Press on! God rewards obedience!
You’re so close! Don’t give up!
“…but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
One of my hugs!
I’m so grateful that God didn’t do what I was hoping at the top of the year. That gave me more time to plan and strategize in my business. When I look back, I’m glad He blocked it! I wasn’t ready. I have faith that it will happen exactly when it’s supposed to and I will have the capacity to receive it when it does.
At the end of the conversation, the pastor asked me if I was hanging in there. My answer was, “Yes” with a smile. He smiled back and thanked me for the encouragement as he pushed his cart to his car.
Everyone needs encouragement. I don’t know where his head was that night but I do know that nothing is by accident when God is in the mix. Who needs to hear what you have to say?
Be encouraged and never give up…
Never Give Up…
NEVER Give Up…
NEVER GIVE Up
And just in case you didn’t hear me the 4th time,
NEVER GIVE UP!!!
You are closer than you think.
I’m giving my event From Drama to Destiny™ Live on October 26th in Laurel, Maryland for this very reason. I don’t want you to give up. Beloved, you are called to make an impact in this world and it’s my calling to help you do that. I hope you can come to my event so I can hug you 😉
