Welcome to Single Mama 180: The Homecoming event!
A day of love, empowerment, prayer, healing,
and sisterhood—the first event of its kind!
I mean from taking the kids to school and making sure they have enough to eat to making sure they are mentally and physically well and adjusted, to the co-parenting stress (wars, actually), and compound that with heavy doses of work stress, we are just out here tired. If it’s not the car acting up this week, you’re short on rent or received a cut-off notice. When you take two steps forward, you’re knocked five steps back; you feel stuck like you’re going nowhere, drowning and not getting ahead. This year has already had its fair share of drama that popped off, and 2024 was supposed to be different. Not to mention the sting of loneliness that has me going back to people I know I shouldn’t.
So, here’s my proposal. Come out and let’s do a 180-degree turn in how we as Single moms, think, act, speak, parent, date, and apply these principles to every area of our lives. A 180-degree turn means to move in the opposite direction.
You may be wondering, how? No worries, Sis, I created this space just for you.
I got you covered!
Introducing FROM DRAMA to Destiny™, Single Mama 180: The Homecoming is a groundbreaking, life changing, live revival event brought to you by award-winning transformational life coach Kenya S. Ulmer.
What is SINGLE MAMA 180: THE HOMECOMING?
Single Mama 180 is a day of love, empowerment, prayer, healing, and sisterhood. Whatever has you tired, stressed out, worried, going in circles, ashamed, or feeling like you’re about to lose it, Single Mama 180 has you covered. We want to bring you together for a day just for you to help you on your Single Mama journey.
In other words, you tried sex, drugs, alcohol, porn, food, binge-watching, isolation, negative self-talk, aggression, and other coping mechanisms and habits to forget what happened to you and numb the pain to try to escape from reality, but none of them worked. You even tried to take your own life, but you’re still here. It’s no accident that you’re reading this. There is a plan for your life, and you are loved. That’s true. Whatever negative labels people have tried to put on you and your family, that’s the lie. You have not been forgotten. Get the help and encouragement you need to live your best life and raise your children. Single Mama, it’s time to come home.
This isn’t your average women’s empowerment event.
It’s not an event where you’ll be bored, listening to speakers that have no clue what single moms go through, and leave thinking, “I could have stayed at home and watched my shows.”
In fact, this isn’t an event. It’s an experience.
At Single Mama 180, you can expect to hear from incredible speakers, enjoy music, listen to powerful stories, and connect with other single mamas on a similar journey. Whether you’re a seasoned single mama, just starting your journey or a single mama to be, this event is for you! This is your chance to focus on healing and personal growth, gain new insights, make new friends, and leave feeling refreshed and motivated. Did I mention the kid’s corner?!? Yep, you read that right. Now there is no excuse not to come on through.

Over the past decade, I have successfully spoken and coached to help women achieve wholeness, happiness, and fulfillment.
For years I have had this desire to accomplish my dream of going back to school. It was an ongoing goal that I felt was unattainable; however, when I met Kenya I started to believe again in my dreams. She showed me that not only was my dream achievable, but that I could do it RIGHT NOW! As a result of Kenya’s coaching, I am more confident in going out and striving for those things that I thought I couldn’t. I feel hopeful not only in completing the goal that we embarked on together but also the other dreams that I have now dusted off. 🙂 Although it was a life coaching experience, it didn’t feel like that…loved the encouragement. It didn’t feel like something that you pay for when you don’t feel a connection with the person. It felt comfortable and personal.”

Anybody that can get me to do a plan of anything deserves an award. Kenya helped get me in the direction I wanted to go. I’m not really accountable to a lot of people and that accountability kept me in the right place. Kenya taught me to be purposeful about me and making myself and my goals a priority. The program exceeded my expectations.”

For anyone who wants to hire Kenya, I strongly recommend her coaching program From Drama to Destiny™…I’ve had my share of drama in my life, but while working with Coach Kenya I’ve experienced a paradigm shift in the way that I view my life and purpose. The sessions were awesome. They didn’t feel like cookie-cutter conversations. Coach Kenya is very professional. She’s a great listener and motivator! The homework assignments were tough for me because they made me dig deep. I had to commit to doing the core work on the inside. I was able to identify my fears and obtain a good picture of what was holding me back in life. My future looks brighter because of the clarity that I received as a result of participating in Coach Kenya’s program. Do invest in yourself. Your life depends on it!”

The Drama to Destiny™ program helped me to get my life together. It’s been instrumental in my growth over the last couple of years. I’m in school now and also taking a real estate class. In working with Kenya, I found out what I’m most passionate about, my purpose. I’m working with Autism speaks and my son Jerry sang the national anthem at one of their events in 2017. At my son’s middle school, I help to put on programs during Autism Awareness month to help showcase the talents of children with special needs. From Drama to Destiny™, helped me to focus in and prioritize and not feel so scattered while honing in on what I really wanted to do. A lot of the work I know this is the area I’m most successful and happy at. Completing what I start is a personal goal for me. When I’m helping parents finding resources for their kids and putting on programs during Autism Awareness Month, that’s where I’m happy and passionate about. The Special Needs Department will put on a play and the whole school is going to participate. Being able to align myself with this program has been so rewarding and gratifying.”

It [From Drama to Destiny™] was great. I’m stronger than I thought I was. Some of the things that I didn’t know I needed, I needed. It was more than what I thought it would be and more than I thought I would get. I feel like I can take more steps. It’s like a weight lifted, because I don’t have to second guess anymore [about my purpose].”

I didn’t know what I was going to discover. I really liked the outcome. My favorite parts were the worksheets, which were really good tools. You were and are such an inspiration. I appreciate you so very very much.”
Thank you for all you have done for me!!!! I was able to help others today.

Meet Certified Life Coach, Forthcoming Author, Speaker and Teacher Kenya S. Ulmer. A single parent of twenty-three years, she has a heart for the single mom. It’s in Kenya’s DNA to serve, empower and encourage women who are trying to juggle it all. Her mission is to help women cut out the distractions to get on the road to their destiny.
Drama and chaos are the dirty little secrets that we want to keep hidden and behind closed doors. Kenya knows about these secrets first-hand, having been caught up in a whirlwind of drama, two years after her daughter was born. Her college sweetheart and father of her child, whom she had been with for eight years, told her that he wasn’t ready to get married—the day she tried on wedding dresses. Devastated and heartbroken, she ran from one ungodly soul tie to another, which put her on a course of destruction and despair. Up next was the pain of the rebound relationship that rode in as a knight on a white horse, but his vile comments crushed on her spirit like the Hulk. Then there was the six-and-a-half-year relationship that produced…wait for it…absolutely nothing! (Haha)
Those relationships taught Kenya that something had to change and it had to begin with her. She saw destructive patterns, looked deep inside and began to concentrate on the “the one” (herself) instead of looking for “the one” (a man). She had to understand whose she was to understand who she was.
Nothing bothers Kenya more than seeing women not understand the power they possess and knowing their true worth. Her approach is aimed at getting at the root of and unearthing the deadly foundations we create and live on. These foundations prevent us from living a more joyous and purpose-filled life.
Kenya’s advice has been featured on FOX 5’s Good Day DC and regularly featured on ABC7’s Good Morning Washington and numerous online communications. In 2015, Kenya was recognized as a Legacy “Trailblazer” Awardee by EPNET (Entrepreneurs & Professionals Network). She also served as Director of the Single Parents Ministry at her church, the First Baptist Church of Glenarden International, from 2018 to 2023.
When Kenya’s not slaying drama, she’s playing it. Draped in a gold lamé jacket and pounding rock and roll on her piano, she won first place in a talent competition, singing her rendition of Jerry Lee Lewis’ “Great Balls of Fire.”
Kenya’s proudest accomplishment is her beautiful (inside and out) and comical young adult daughter, Sydney, who graduated summa cum laude from college in 2020. Together, they love to laugh and enjoy watching Disney movies.
At Single Mama 180, you can expect to hear from incredible speakers, enjoy heartfelt and inspirational music, listen to powerful stories, and connect with other single mamas who are on a similar journey.
