Here are three statements that are true of God:
1. Once you obey, God will be with you.
From my dad’s party to leaving my job to the Single Mama 180™ event, God has NEVER left me. I have seen the hand of God at work in every area of my life and the lives of others because of their obedience. Sometimes it didn’t make sense. And it may not look like what you think it will, but He is always on the throne, shaping and molding you and your story for His glory! He’s got your back and in it with you and will help you every step of the way.
If you wander from the right path, either to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice behind you saying, “You should go this way. Here is the right way.” (Isaiah 30:21)
2. God cannot lie.
If He told you, believe it and put some action behind it. I had to start taking steps before I left my job. If He told you to write a book, start writing. If He said you won’t have to pay for school, start looking at the courses and figuring out your schedule. After God told me to put on the event Single Mama 180™, I had to walk in faith. I had to build a team and so on, believing the provision would come—and it did! The Bible says that faith without works is dead (James 2:26). We must do our part. The next step may not be revealed until you complete the first one.
These two things cannot change: God cannot lie when he says something, and he cannot lie when he makes an oath. So these two things are a great help to us who have come to God for safety. They encourage us to hold on to the hope that is ours. (Hebrews 6:18)
Plus, He wants to give it to you!
Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)
God is giving us hope and wants us not to worry because He takes great delight and love in giving us His kingdom. That’s why it’s important to pray that our desires line up with His will.
3. With God, you will win.
God said, Ya’ll got this (my translation) when referring to the “land flowing with milk and honey.” Moses sent some spies to check out the land. When the spies returned, all (except two) said no, we don’t got this. They were very afraid of the inhabitants and didn’t think they could conquer the land even though God said it was theirs. Their unbelief and complaining angered God. As a result, God let a whole generation die off in the wilderness. Don’t let that happen to you: gifts going to the grave, crippling fear keeping you from God’s promises, and lost and wandering most of your life when you don’t have to be. When God says you got it, believe Him. When Moses died, God started talking to Joshua about that same land. God asked Joshua, “Have I not commanded you?” (Joshua 1:9) We’ve all been commanded to do something. Are you doing it? In the end, they conquered the land!!
And you will too, IF you pursue it.
I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. (Joshua 1:3-6)
It’s a fixed fight. All you have to do is show up.
